1.st day – High Tatras

Visiting Slovakia withouth to see High Tatras, the biggest pride of Slovakians, would mean to return home with just half of the picture. The smallest high mountains in the world will surely enchant you. Unique views, majestic peaks, thousands of kilometers of hiking trails, tarns, waterfalls, sherpas, mountain brooks and huts, all that and more are the Tatra mountains. From one of the mountain resorts Starý Smokovec we´ll take a cog railway to Hrebienok, take a easy hiking trail to Giant Waterfalls and back (easy hiking ca. 1,5 hours) and than drive Road of Freedom along the High Tatra to see the authentic goral village Ždiar and famous mountain resort Štrbske pleso with its tarn.

2nd day – Spiš treasure

UNESCO town of Levoča will surely attract you with its medieval town square surrounded by Merchant houses and Jacob´s church with the highest wooded winged gothic Altar in the world (18,62 m). In Slovakia, former northern part of Hungarian empire, you can find plenty of castles, castle ruins, which has been build to protect the empire. Today we´ll visit also the castle with summer residence Dardanely with french park in Markušovce, where you´ll hear about the life of the nobles and than we´ll continue to Kežmarok to see well known wooden evangelic church built withouth a single steel nail.

3rd day – Pieniny

Discover one of the most beautiful parts of Slovakia with picturesque villages – Pieniny region by taking the rafts on the river Dunajec, which is forming the northern border with Poland. Admire the unique Pieniny natural park with the highest protection sailing through the longest canyon in Middle Europe. Visit the open air museum in Stara Lubovňa to learn more about how the locals, who lived here in the past.

4th day – Low Tatras

Let´s do an altitudinal experience today. We´ll get up to 2024 m above the sea level with a cable car from famous mountain resort Jasna to have majestic views over the Liptov region and High Tatras. There is a posibility to hike (moderate hiking, ca.3 hours there and back) the mountain ridge to the highest peak of Low Tatras – Dumbier (2,043 m above the sea level) or from Jasná resort hike (easy hiking, ca. 1,5 hours) to symbolic mountain cemetery.

5th day Water fun in Aquacity

Slovakia is very well known for their thermal springs, used by aquaparks and health resorts. Have fun and relax on your day in one of those resorts, known as the most ecologic aquapark in the world (2007) – Aquacity Poprad (Green Heart Hero Award)
